… helped Mommy bake some scones (he’s actually getting to be quite a help!); ‘called’ Nana from a rare old school payphone; found a new wooden train to play with at the library, major bonus; made a big line of trains with Daddy on the rug; and played outside after dark. Life doesn’t get much better than that.

We’re all really ready for the weekend. Looking forward to kicking back, eating yummy food and getting this house of ours in order once and for all. Just in time for Sam’s big 2nd birthday party next week :)

Have a terrific weekend. xo

… explored in the woods; got new, seriously cool, slippers; really, really enjoyed a giant cupcake; acted like a total ham after waking from a nap; and ‘helped’ Mom with a little fall gardening.

And it’s Friday again! We seriously love the weekends around here. Sam’s looking forward to getting back to the pool after a few weeks off from swimming and Kevin and I are excited to be going on a rare date night to see Gravity tomorrow. We hear it’s fantastic :)

Have a wonderful weekend. xo

This week we…

1. Had more fun than one would think is possible with two balloons. Balloon dancing is seriously underrated.

2. Pretended we were on a dock in Muskoka for a while. We were in Oranmore, but we have great imaginations :)

3. Played quietly with Playdoh for a hour. Mom was in heaven :)

4. Tried to save a princess from a castle. (He’s really in to Robert Munsch’s The Paperbag Princess at the moment)

Sam has also begun to tell jokes :) His first went like this; Mommy: Is that yogurt yummy Sam?
Sam: Yeah.
Mommy: What flavour is it?
Sam: Poo, poo! (Said with an enormous grin and followed by peals of laughter.) Gotta love toilet humour :)

His second;  Mommy: What do we cook in that Sam? (as Sam enters the kitchen with a cage for bbqing fish)
Sam: Meatballs! (once again followed by peals of laughter).

I’m sure he’ll get funnier as time goes on, but it’s pretty entertaining as it is.

Have a brilliant weekend. We’re excited to be hanging out with all of Kevin’s family for the weekend. It only happens about once a year, so it’s going to be great. Total cousin saturation for Sam!
