I adore teepee’s for children. Most of the children’s rooms that I fall in love with have a teepee in them. We definitely don’t have space for a teepee though, either in Sam’s room or the livingroom (sigh), so this DIY version seen on A Cup of Jo was the perfect solution.
The instructions said the teepee could be made for less than $15 and in under 20 minutes I can attest to both. I paid €11.34 for the timber, and had the rest of the materials lying around. I was going to use a plain white sheet, but had this IKEA shower curtain that I wasn’t using and loved the graphic look. It all popped together in no time at all.
Sam is asleep now, so we’ll see what he thinks of it when he wakes from his nap. With a few more rainy days in the forecast, I think we’ll be hanging out in here quite a bit. And the best part? When not in use, it folds up really small and can be tucked away in the corner. A blessing, seeing as it takes up a quarter of the living room. But as least it’s tall enough to fit Daddy.
